A.W.A.R.E. Retreat – The INNER Practice – Rishikesh, India

There comes a point in practice where doing more isn’t the answer.

You’ve been consistent, refining how you move and how you hold…
but there’s still a gap between what you’re doing and what you’re feeling.
This retreat is an invitation to step out of effort and return to something more real.

Set in the hills above Rishikesh, surrounded by jungle, wildlife, and the presence of the sacred Mother Ganga, this 8-night immersive experience blends movement, breath, and awareness with the deeply restorative principles of Ayurveda.
This is not about achieving postures.

It’s about reconnecting to your body’s embodied intelligence – the ability to feel what is true, respond to what you need in the moment, and move from a place of authenticity rather than the habit of performance.
Through nervous system regulation, breath, and awareness, you begin to recognise that what your body needs is not fixed – it evolves moment to moment.

And learning to listen to that is where real practice begins.

The Approach

Across the week, you’ll explore the DJY A.W.A.R.E. Method – working with both the body and your inner experience.

A.W.A.R.E. (Physical Practice)

Alongside this, you’ll step into the INNER Practice – a space for self-study, emotional awareness, and embodied response.

Rooted in Manas (mind), Ahamkara (identity), and Buddhi (discernment), this guides you through:

R – Respond

You’ll develop the ability to recognise your needs, stay grounded in sensation, and take aligned, authentic action.

This is where practice becomes lived experience.

Meet Your Teacher, Dav Jones

A 500 E-RYT teacher, Davin’s teachings are from the traditions of Hatha, Ashtanga and Iyengar Yoga.
